Action Choices

OrgCon analyzes you misfits and list the input parameters that - if changed - will remove the misfits. The sequence of the parameters given in action choices is prioritized so that changing the first input parameter will remove the most misfits. However, changing a parameter does not remove the misfits in your organization. But you can see the consequences if you take organizational action to change behaviour or activities such that it corresponds to the changed value of the input parameter. So the list given in the action choices gives a list of potential actions to take and allow you to analyze the consequences of taking the actions.

How to perform Action Choices?
There are two ways to perform Action Choices.  You can either go through the whole process and thereby follow all the five steps descriped later or let OrgCon help you find which misfits you want to work on.

If you decide to go through the whole process, choose Output > Output Report and then  Tools > Action Choices 

  1. Choose which group of misfits you would like to work on:

     

  2. Select the name for the modified scenario, f.ex. Base scenario 2
  3. Choose which question(s) you would like to modifiy.  The questions which affect misfits the most, have been automaticly selected.

  4. Change the information on each input category checked in step three in order to change your misfits. 
  5. Finally, select an ancestor you wish to compare this changed scenario to.

If you want OrgCon to help you find which misfits to work on, choose Output > Output Report , click on the  'Action Choices' button for the appropriate misfit and follow step 2-5 from above.
