Symptoms

When trying to install OrgCon, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:

• You recieve an error dialog during the install of Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1
  The error dialog may contain the following message:
  • Error installing Microsoft(R) .NET Framework. Could not verify digital signature of file %s. You need Internet Explorer 3.03 or later with Authenticode update.
    And/or one of the following other error numbers:
  • 1642
  • 1621
  • or 1935

Cause

This issue can occur due to the following reason:

•  Microsoft .Net framework 1.1 is not installed. It must be installed from the Windows Update Service

Resolution

To resolve this issue, use the appropriate method:

• Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1.
  Goto Microsoft Windows Update, and follow the steps below:
  1. Click the link "Custom Install"
  2. Click the link "Select optional software updates"
  3. Check the update "Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1"
  4. Click the link "Goto install updates"
  5. Click the button "Install"
